Since our childhood we were told that sport and health are indivisible, but today they try to prove the contrary. We can find many articles in glamour magazines and on the Internet which say that fitness activities deteriorate the state of our health rather than improve it. Let’s try to find out whether it’s true or not.

Numerous researches show that regular fitness activities strengthen our immune resistance, improve skin tone, make our brain to work better and help to avoid stress and depression. Scientists have also proved that when a person does physical exercises his organism produces endorphin – a so called hormone of joy. As a result a person becomes healthier and gradually he starts to love himself and his reflection in the mirror.

At the same time it’s a well-known fact that fitness activities can inflict harm if a person has some diseases inconsistent with the kind of sport he wants to practice. It’s very important to consult a doctor before you start going in for sports. Besides, it’s better to take into account your particular biorhythms if you want fitness activities bring your health benefit instead of harm.

I personally believe that if you want to keep feet, you should take physical exercises. I go to the gym once in the middle of the week and almost every week-end I try to find some spare time to go to the swimming pool. It helps me to keep fit and be in a good mood. But I know when I have to stop.
